Saturday at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrated 75 years of Formula 1 with a full day of racing action and historic tributes under the theme “The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers.”
The morning began at 08:30 with Batch 2 on the 1.16-mile hillclimb, followed by the Supercar Run. From 10:10, fans were treated to the F1 75 showcase featuring classic and modern Grand Prix machinery. The Winning Formula segment and F1 Champions runs followed before the highlight of the day at 12:20: a rare balcony appearance by seven Formula 1 World Champions.
Afternoon highlights included First Glance debuts, New Classics, a second F1 75 run, and Timed Shoot-Out Practice at 15:55. The day wrapped up with more hill runs at 17:40, with Goodwood delivering another memorable chapter in its motorsport legacy.

Over 100 Formula 1 cars on track this weekend

A landmark moment saw seven Formula 1 world champions, including Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, and Damon Hill, appear together on the balcony at Goodwood House.
Over 100 F1 cars, from Fangio-era machinery to Red Bull’s RB20, have already stormed the hill climb, with title-winning icons like the McLaren MP4/4 and Lotus 79 on parade.
Rally action remained intense on the Forest Stage, with Hyundai’s i20 N Rally1 piloted by Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak. Innovation took focus in the Future Lab, where astronaut Tim Peake supported exhibits on AI, robotics, and electric racing tech. New model launches from Lamborghini and BMW drew large crowds, while the Library Lawn Garden Party offered a refined social backdrop. Goodwood’s livestream captured every moment.
The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed launched in style on Thursday, welcoming thousands to West Sussex for a celebration of speed, innovation, and motorsport nostalgia. Highlights included the world debut of Lanzante’s 850bhp 95-59 hypercar, which stunned crowds with its performance and design.

Gordon Murray Automotive marked Nelson Piquet’s 1983 Formula 1 title with a showcase featuring the Brabham BT52 and T.50, drawing fans of both heritage and engineering excellence.
The Forest Rally Stage delivered edge-of-seat action as F1 talents Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman tackled tight gravel sections with impressive precision. Dakar Rally machines also roared through the estate, while a wide spectrum of vehicles—from historic classics to modern electric supercars—filled the hill climb paddock. The day blended old and new seamlessly, with every moment streamed live for global viewers.
Aston Martin took centre stage on Friday with a showstopping parade featuring the Valhalla and Valkyrie hypercars. The day also saw major unveilings from Zenvo, with its quad-turbo V12 Aurora, and McLaren’s W1 flagship. Motorsport legend Carl Fogarty was honoured with a tribute marking 30 years since his iconic 1995 SBK title on the Ducati 916.
Tom Kristensen gave fans a thrill behind the wheel of the Ferrari F399, revving its V10 to life on the hill climb. A 75-year tribute to Formula 1 brought rare and historic cars out in force, from early icons to modern-day beasts. Off-road action intensified on the Forest Rally Stage, keeping spectators gripped throughout the day. As with Thursday, Goodwood’s livestream broadcast the spectacle worldwide, underlining the festival’s unmatched position in global motorsport culture.
