Arvid Lindblad revealed that he was warned by his Racing Bulls bosses that his rookie Formula 1 season in 2026 will be difficult but is adamant he is up to the challenge.

Lindblad will be the only rookie in 2026, as F1 will usher in a new era of regulations with new power units and chassis.
He will race alongside Liam Lawson, replacing Isack Hadjar, who was promoted to Red Bull, as Yuki Tsunoda was dropped into a reserve role after his struggles in 2025.
Despite his fast promotion after one season in F2 and another in Formula 2, Lindblad, the latest driver to come through the Red Bull junior driver program, was warned by Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer and Team Principal Alan Permane that his first season in the top flight will not be a walk in the park.
Lindblad said: “The advice [has been that] things are going to be difficult.
“I shouldn't be naïve. I'm very aware of the fact that it will be a big challenge. It will be a really big step up.
“There's a lot of work I have to do over the next coming months prior to Barcelona,” he added, referring to the first and closed pre-season test that will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya between January 26 and 30.
He went on: “But even then, during all the tests, during the first part of the season, there's going to be a lot of things for me to be learning up to speed on.

It's about being open-minded

"Even also on the team side, there will be that as well, because it's going to be so much that is new. We're all going to have to learn and develop together.
“It's just about being open-minded. It's nothing I already don't know, that I need to just work hard and keep focused on myself," Lindblad maintained.
It has to be noted that Lindblad did not win any championships in F3 and F2. He finished fourth in his only season in F3 and sixth in F2, but it seemed he did enough for Red Bull to hand him the opportunity with Racing Bulls.
He, on the other hand, insists that going through the ranks that quickly is a strength; he said: “I've come through the ranks pretty quickly.
“I've just been in each category one year, so every year I'm used to being thrown in the deep end. For sure on that side it will help [adapt to F1] because I'm used to being in this situation.
“But on the other hand, I haven't done Formula 1 yet, so I don't know what's coming. We need to see, and I need to be open-minded and work hard, because this step will be the biggest one I've dealt with so far," Lindblad concluded. (Quotes from Formula 1 Official Website)
