Lewis Hamilton joked he is worried that eating too much pizza will make him too big to fit in the cockpit of his Ferrari SF-25 as he gears up for his first season with the Italian Formula 1 team.

Hamilton has been indulging himself with Italian food ever since he made his Ferrari debut back in January, with pizza being the dish of his choice.
He said: "Oh God. I've eaten so many pizzas in the last few weeks. But funnily enough, I've lost weight. Last week alone I had three pizzas. I love Italian food. Penne a la Arrabiata is still my absolute favorite dish."
Hamilton revealed he has a history with Italian food ever since he was racing in the junior categories when he spent time in Italy in 2000 and 2001 racing alongside his former Mercedes teammate, Nico Rosberg, in the Open Italian Championship.
The seven-time F1 champion recalled: "I still remember going into town with Nico every evening to buy pizza and ice cream. We ate so much pizza.
"My roots in motorsport lie in Italy. I drove there when I was 13. I remember that Luca del Fante, my first mechanic, and his mother always made me an incredible lasagna. I have never forgotten that lasagna to this day."
But Hamilton admitted he has to control his diet over the course of the year; he added: "Yes, I have to watch my diet. But that will be difficult.
"I have to be careful, and I can't eat pizza all year round. Otherwise I won't fit in the car anymore," he quipped in conclusion.
Hamilton recently attended the F1 75 Live launch event held at the London O2 arena last week, where Ferrari and the other nine F1 teams revealed their 2025 liveries.
The Briton went on to sample the SF-25, Ferrari's 2025 F1 challenger, at the team's Fiorano track one day after the F1 launch event, where his teammate, Charles Leclerc, was also on hand to drive the latest Red single-seater from Maranello.
