Verstappen on becoming a father: You never know what to expect

F1 Faces Ridiculous Rise in Fuel Costs

The Formula 1 is not without worries. Considering the speed the cars make, the number of races, and training, that make thousands of kilometres a year, fuel cost is an important point in the way teams spend their budgets. The fuel cost for the 2026 season could see astronomical growth.
A spike in price never seen before could see the increase of $300 per litre of fuel. The background for the increase in price is a noble one as Formula 1 is looking to move to a more sustainable solution in terms of fuel used to fuel their bolids. The new fuel will be used for the first time in 2026, but the worries that it will cost ten times more than it does today have put teams into a frenzy on how to adapt their season budgets to this change.
While sustainable and environmental solutions are always welcomed, it is a shocking increase as we will go from current price of $22-$33 depending on the manufacturer, to staggering $170-$225 per litre. It is a drastic change that all teams are going to have to adapt, rather sooner than later, and to embrace the incoming rise in prices that with time and more quality of the new fuel will even rise to the above mentioned $300 per litre.

FIA Set to Raise Formula 1 Pit Lane Speed Limit

As if Formula 1 wasn't fast enough, it's going to be even faster in the future. The FIA is already working on increasing the speed limit allowed in the pit lane. At first, this change is going to be allowed at a few selected events.
The reasoning behind what's FIA is trying to accomplish by making the speed limit in the pit lane higher is that it would add another layer of variability for the teams who would now be able to make more pit stops during an event, adding to more interesting races through the means of race strategies.
These changes are now almost imminent as the FIA is trying to make the F1 product more interesting. There were loud complaints that races this year have not been too fun to watch considering that four of the five opening wins came from pole positions.
As far as we're concerned this would be a welcoming change that would add more excitement to every race as we've seen early on this season the F1 betting odds also heavily favoured the racer who was at the pole position leaving little to no room to look for a surprise winner and to boost those odds.

Tsunoda Needs More Time

It was not a dreamy start for Yuki Tsunoda in the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team. While Yuki claims that he feels satisfied with the progress he made so far, he also pleads with the fans to give him more time.
It was thanks to early struggles from Liam Lawson that saw the RB making a switch between drivers by pulling Tsunoda from Racing Bulls and sending Lawson the other way around. While Yuki collected points in his first race, he failed miserably in Saudi Arabia after a collision with Alpine’s Pierre Gasly saw him forfeit the race after only one lap.
With more than a few spring races ahead of us, and Miami Grand Prix being on schedule as we write this piece, Tsunoda remains adamant that his best for is upon us as soon as he gets a bit more used to the new bolid.

Alonso Hints at Possible Retirement from Formula 1 in 2026

Fernando Alonso is one of the more experienced drivers on the Formula 1 grid, and the Spaniard is certain that his career will not last more than a couple of years. Because of this he is only willing to sign short-term contracts with Aston Martin.
In his own words, Alonso claims that he moved from Alpine to Aston Martin due to the fact that he will not race forever and that he wanted to be competitive in the next few years while he still feels fast enough. When a time comes that he feels that he's no longer up to his own standards he will step down as an F1 driver.
Fernando Alonso claims that his contract bodes him to Aston Martin in terms that go far beyond the racetrack and that he will remain active with the team even when he's not in the cockpit it would appear that father time has made Alonso realize that his decisions on career are now on year to year basis.
The same way as Alonso, it's best to take matters one race at the time, and here are some of our predictions for upcoming few events:

Miami Grand Prix: How were your predictions?

Miami Grand Prix Top Three Press Conference
At the moment, Formula 1 racing comes down to two names. As you could guess, the best odds for Formula 1 race winners in 2025 fall down on Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. The situation is the same in Miami. Norris was the winner at this circuit last season, despite Max Verstappen taking the pole position.
But it was Oscar Piastri claimed his fourth win of the 2025 Formula 1 season at the Miami Grand Prix, leading a dominant 1-2 finish for McLaren ahead of teammate Lando Norris. Two years after driving the slowest car on the grid at this event, Piastri has now won three consecutive races, becoming the first McLaren driver to do so since Mika Häkkinen in 1998.
He now leads the Formula 1 championship by 16 points over Norris, with Max Verstappen trailing by 32. Norris, who won the sprint race but lost out in the Grand Prix after an aggressive Verstappen move, finished second. George Russell was third. Hamilton was ordered to let Leclerc by for seventh, while Sainz and Tsunoda completed the top ten.

Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Predictions

Emilia Romagna is like second home to Max Verstappen. The Dutch racer has won each of the previous four races, and will be looking to continue his undrafted run that started back in 2021. Before Max asserted his dominance in Italy, Lewis Hamilton was the last driver who managed to snatch a win in Emilia Romagna.
The event was postponed in 2023 due to flooding, while in 2024 Max was joined by Norris and Leclerc on the podium. Just like in Miami, Piastri and Norris will be looking to dethrone Verstappen and they're in pole position to do so, but we wouldn't be looking past Verstappen to win another one here.
After all, no one cuts corners just like Max does, and with the amount of fast and challenging corners Emilia Romagna Grand Prix has, we can see him making the best out of the 2025 run at this circuit.

Monaco Grand Prix Predictions

Monaco Grand Prix aerial
Regardless of your form as a driver, position on the table, and title aspirations, Monaco Grand Prix is one of those races that transcends all of that and winning here is a matter of prestige. Tight corners and Monte Carlo elevations are what make this city race so interesting.
You need to bookmark this event on your calendar as the Monaco Grand Prix is not a race you want to miss. Last year the spoils belonged to Charles Leclerc with Piastri and Sainz Jr. rounding up the top three. Considering that Mercedes-McLaren have put out the best bolid from all the usual suspects, we'd expect that Piastri or Norris will be early favorites, but last year's winner Leclerc should also be in the picture with Max Verstappen there too.
We could go on with predicting the rest of the F1 calendar, but with these news we've talked about, and the proximity of these races it is better not to get too far ahead of ourselves. After all, in the world of F1 plenty can change in a matter of a few weeks. With everything above said, we're in for quite an interesting run in May.
