Kyle.Engineers analyzes the 2023 Aston Martin Formula 1 car launched on Monday and named the AMR23, which they hope will propel them up the grid.
Aston Martin suffered from a horrible season in 2022, the AMR22 problematic and woefully of the pace, and despite the team bringing a Red Bull-inspire B-Spec car for the 2022 Spanish Grand Prix, they were only able to deliver some modest progress towards the end of the season.
The team finished the 2022 season seventh in the Constructors' Standings, and have not really shown any improvement, which
doesn't bode well with their targets, keeping in the mind the major investment Chairman Lawrence Stroll has put into the outfit.
For 2023, the driver lineup has been revised, with Fernando Alonso joining Lance Stroll after four-time F1 Champion Sebastian Vettel decided to retire from the sport.
The AMR23 has a similar livery to its predecessor, but its design looks to be a departure from the AMR22, so will it be any good?
Kyle said: "While Aston is running essentially the same livery this year as last, there's been quite a few aero changes on the AMR23. Additionally, this seems like it is actually a genuine indication of what their 2023 challenger is, and is likely the exact car that will appear at the start of testing."
