Outgoing Haas Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen is yet to find a job for 2025 as he heads towards his final races with the US team in 2024.
This is the second time Haas release Magnussen, the first time at the end of the 202o F1 season as both he and then teammate Romain Grosjean made way for Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin.
At the start of the 2022 F1 season, Haas broke ties with Mazepin and his sponsor Uralkali amid the Russian Ukrainian war and Magnussen was called back to the team after spending one year on the sideline doing sportscars.
However, it seems this time the Dane's time in top flight is up and permanently unless he finds a seat in the last couple that are potentially available - one and VCARB and another at Sauber. Alpine have an opening after Esteban Ocon's departure, but their junior driver Jack Doohan will probably be chosen for it.
Speaking to the media at the
Belgian Grand Prix FIA-hosted press conference, Magnussen was asked about his future and his plans.
He said: "I think everything is on the table in that case. So, yeah, it's hard to... I'll see what's available out there and make my mind when I get there.
"Right now, I'm in Formula 1 and there's still a couple of seats open for next year that I'd like to see where all that ends up and then look at things afterwards," he concluded.
With Magnussen leaving and teammate Nico Hulkenberg already Audi-Sauber-bound, Haas with field a new driver lineup for the 2025 F1 season.
Esteban Ocon will be joining from Alpine while Ferrari junior Oliver Bearman has been signed for the other seat after impressing in his F1 debut earlier this year at the
Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, where he replaces Carlos Sainz who had to undergo surgery for appendicitis.
Bearman finished seventh and scored points despite only having one practice session in the Ferrari SF-24 after which he went directly into qualifying going 11th fastest.
