Finally, I have decided to take the plunge with my son and we bought a Fantasy Formula 1 team for $10 and that gave us $140-million to buy drivers and teams with the budget - you have to love the world of fantasy! We figure that collectively we know enough about Formula 1 to get on top of this and make a go at making some bucks on the side and for a laugh. And being huge gambler we went for Lewis winning with Mercedes, how adventurous was that.
Anyway, we have put our money where the mouth is and our team (right) is picked an ready to start earning. I know little about how this works in terms of score etc, so will be the PR guy and the lad can be team principal.
We will keep you posted on how our season evolves.
Hopefully, some of our readers join the action for a laugh and get involved, maybe there is a buck to be made. If not you can follow our effort.
Zweeler Fantasy Sports Games predicts that "Lewis Hamilton is going to have a hard time getting his sixth world title, while Ferrari looked strong during testing and also the Honda-driven Red Bull seems to be a lot closer than a year ago."
"Following the Formula 1 season is even more exciting with a Fantasy team. Who do you think will be world champion? Still Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel or is it time for a driver like Max Verstappen? Select six drivers and three teams for the whole season and take them to the first prize of 1,000 euros!"
How it works:
- You have a budget of 140 million euro to buy 6 drivers and 3 F1 teams of which you think are going to win the most points in the Fantasy Formula 1 2019.
- You also need to predict who will become World Champion of the drivers and the constructors.
- The game will cost 10.00 euro per team and will start with a guaranteed amount of 6,000.00 euro in prizes.
- The first prize will be 1,000.00 euro (121 GC prizes).
- Finally, you can win with your friends, colleagues and family 95.00 euro in the sub league classification (50, 25, 15, 5 euro).
- The Fantasy Formula 1 2019 starts on Sunday 17 March 2019 at 6:10 hours CET with the GP of Australia.
