Christian Horner played down concerns that Red Bull will become complacent as the team enjoys one of their best performances in their history.
Red Bull are utterly dominating the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship and have won every grand prix so far this year as well as evert Sprint Race, with their RB19 being the class of the field while in the hands of Max Verstappen, is an even more formidable weapon.
Horner was quizzed whether there is a risk Red Bull may become complacent following their recent dominance; he said, Quoted by
Motorsport.com: "I don't think so.
"I think we're very much taking it one race at a time, one session at a time," Horner said. "And I think you have to focus like that.
"Nobody's allowing their mind to drift and I think that it's a long, long championship," the Briton insisted.
Red Bull have been chasing Mercedes since the start of the Turbo-Hybrid era in 2014, an era the latter dominated and racked up eight Constructors' Championships, but Horner insists being chased by other feels different.
Being the hunted creates different type of pressure
Red Bull rivals have been trying to poach their staff, with Aston Martin hiring Dan Fallows (Red Bull's former head of aerodynamics) as Technical Director, while
McLaren more recently hired Rob Marshall (Red Bull's former engineering boss) as Technical Director as well.
There were also reports that Ferrari were trying to lure Red Bull's Technical Director Pierre Wache, while their head aerodynamics Enrico Balbo also reportedly a target by the House of Maranello.
Horner commented: "The challenges are always different because, when you're the hunter, you've got everybody focussed on the target ahead of you.
"When you suddenly become the hunted, it's a different type of pressure," the Red Bull boss pointed out.
"Of course, we have numerous approaches from all these guys, chasing all our staff, sponsors, you name it," he added.
"Getting there is one thing, staying there is another. But I think the spirit, the culture that we have within the team; we've got great strength in depth and have enjoyed great continuity over a long period of time, which again is so important in this business," Horner concluded.
Red Bull lead the 2023 F1 Constructors' Championship by 256 points from Mercedes, while Verstappen leads the Drivers' Standings by 125 points from teammate Sergio Perez who is second.
