Lewis Hamilton is joining TMRW Sports as an investor, the tech startup was formed by golf superstars Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, with a full list of initial investors announced today.

Woods and McIlroy, who launched TMRW in August, gave Hamilton a hearty welcome on social media, as he joins the venture which Woods described as a way to "harness technology to bring fresh approaches to the sports we love."
Former NBC Sports president Mike McCarley is the third cofounder and will serve as CEO with the goal to "make sports more accessible for as many people as possible."
According to CBS Sports, TMRW Sports' first official project is TGL, a high-tech golf league that will feature six teams made of the top PGA Tour players. TLG is scheduled to tee off in January 2024.
The report adds that "Hamilton seems like a good fit for an already star-studded company. Since his debut season in 2007. He holds the record for most wins, pole positions, and podium finishes among many other records in racing."
Hamilton is bullish of late with his investments, acquiring shares with Denver Broncos and recently launching a movie production company Apollo Dawn Films, with Hollywood ambitions and project number one a $150-million Brad Pitt led blockbuster, backed by Apple.
The 37-year-old was also linked with a group looking to buy Chelsea last year before Todd Boehly eventually acquired the club from its Russian owner Roman Abramovich.
In September, Hamilton told Reuters: "I do want to get more and more involved in teams because I really do believe in Black ownership because there is a lack of it within sports and Black equity. There is a real lack of that."
More details about TMRW (pronounced tomorrow) Sports investor's was revealed today including four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry, three-times tennis Grand Slam winner Andy Murray, Japanese two-way standout Shohei Ohtani of Major League Baseball and two-time women's World Cup champion Alex Morgan.
TMRW Sports co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Mike McCarley said in a news release: "From the very beginning our plan has been to partner with the best-in-class in every way imaginable and Tiger, Rory, and I value the support of this unrivalled team of investors, advisors, and ambassadors."

According to TMRW Sports, the initial investment group's sports experience also includes team ownership in every major league and ranges across F1, NFL, NBA, Premier League, MLB, NHL, MLS, tennis, esports, surfing, and golf.
A day after its launch, TMRW Sports said Woods and McIlroy would headline a Monday night team golf competition starting in 2024 that will feature PGA Tour players and combine virtual technology and a tech-infused short-game complex at a custom-built venue.
