As Lewis Hamilton embarks on a new chapter of his illustrious Formula 1 career with Ferrari, he has been reunited with his longtime trainer, Angela Cullen, who also became his ally and confidante.
Cullen has worked with Hamilton since 2016, when he was dominating F1 with Mercedes, but
the pair parted ways at the start of the 2023 season.
New Zealander Cullen took a sabbatical and then ended up working with fellow Kiwi Marcus Armstrong, who raced in IndyCar.
Despite the separation, it is reported that Hamilton and Cullen remained in contact, with the Briton saying after the split in 2023: "Angela is living her life right now.
"She's got so many ideas of things she wants to do. We message pretty much every day. We are still going to skydive together. We are always going to be in each other's lives."
Since Hamilton's announcement as a Ferrari driver, there were rumors that Cullen would be rejoining him with the deleted Instagram post by the physio, showing her dressed in red and carrying a flag with #44, fueling the rumors even more.
Apparently, the rumors ended up being true, as Cullen has now reportedly signed to join Hamilton's Project 44, the company that manages his business affairs.
Cullen will be part of the performance team with Project 44 and will work under Mark Hynes, the CEO and former Touring Car racer.
Hynes previously worked with Hamilton between 2016 and 2021 but then decided to move away to focus on his own business only to return to the seven-time F1 champion's inner circle in 2024.
Hamilton, on Monday, January 20,
started life as a Ferrari driver as he visited their HQ in Maranello and met with the top management and the staff.
