Esteban Gutierrez has hardly set the Formula 1 scene alight since he returned to the grand prix grids this season, with the all new Haas F1 Team, and admits he is getting bored finishing outside the top ten and hopes to turn things around in the second half of the season.
The Mexican told NBC Sports "It’s starting to get boring to finish in 11th position."
“It has been better and better for me every race, less problems, more consistency," acknowledged the Mexican ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix. "It’s not nice to finish races too many times in 11th position.
“But I’m convinced that I will get my chances, as there’s still half of the season left and I know what I’m capable of.
“Finishing in front of my teammate is the first goal, but it’s not enough for me.”
Gutierrez scored his first and only grand prix points in Japan in 2013, when he finished seventh driving for Sauber.
