Ferrari head into this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix on the back of a disastrous Chinese Grand Prix where both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were disqualified.
Ferrari enjoyed some highs in China with Hamilton taking Sprint pole and Sprint Race win, but changes made to their SF-25 ahead of qualifying and the Grand Prix on Sunday ruined it.
Hamilton and Leclerc clashed on Lap 1, the latter suffering from front wing damage, which strangely made him the faster Ferrari, but to make matters worse, both cars were disqualified for ride height and weight infringements, the team ultimately throwing away 30 points in the
Formula 1 constructors' championship.
Ferrari are now gearing up for their weekend at Suzuka, but the woes of China are weighing heavily on them, with team boss Fred Vasseur setting the targets for his team.
Speaking in Ferrari's preview of the Japanese Grand Prix, Vasseur said: "The Suzuka Circuit is particularly demanding for both the cars and the drivers, who nonetheless relish the challenge of its unique and iconic corners.
"As for everyone in the team, now more than ever, we must focus on ourselves with the goal of enabling Charles and Lewis to consistently exploit the full potential of the SF-25, because so far we have only managed to do that on Fridays and during the Sprint in China.
"Formula 1 is all about the details from race weekend preparation in the factory, to execution on track while adapting to changing conditions during the race.
"Once we have succeeded in doing that, then we will have a clearer idea of where we stand," the Frenchman concluded.
Ferrari are currently fifth in the 2025 F1 constructors' championship with Williams ahead of them despite being equal on points.
Hamilton is ninth in the drivers' standings, one point ahead of Leclerc, who is tenth.
