Bruno Famin, Alpine's Team Principal, is on his way out of Alpine as the situation within the French team continues to develop.

The Alpine Formula 1 team have confirmed that Bruno Famin will leave his current team principal role of the F1 division by the end of August after earlier reports emerged regarding the Frenchman's departure.
Alpine said in a statement: "BWT Alpine F1 Team can confirm that Bruno Famin will move away from his current role as Team Principal of the F1 division by the end of August. Bruno will be in charge of all other Motorsport activities of the Renault Group at Viry-Chatillon. A new Team Principal will be announced in due course."
After recent reports that Renault are discussing the future of their Formula 1 power unit operation at Viry-Châtillon, with plans to sign a deal with Mercedes for supply of power units and other car components, there are now reports that Alpine are set for changes in the management.
Motorsport.com reported that Famin is set to be replaced claiming that Hitech F2 and F3 boss Oliver Oakes is the person targeted by Alpine as a replacement.
Famin took over the role of Team Principal at Alpine on an interim basis in 2023 after Otmar Szafnauer was fired, but then held the role permanently early in 2024.
Along with Szafnauer, the team's long serving Sporting Director Alan Permane was shown the door as the team's tech boss at the time Pat Fry decided to leave for Williams.
With Renault CEO Luca de Meo hiring Flavio Briatore as an Executive Advisor back in June, it seems that the Italian is hard at work applying changes in the struggling outfit, with a new team boss being the next step expected to happen over the summer break.
Oakes, tipped to replace Famin, is a former karting champion who set up his own karting team in 2011 before getting involved in F2 and F3 through the successful Hitech team.
Hitech recently applied to become an F1 team, but its application did not go past the FIA evaluation stage.
