Williams reveal fan-inspired Gulf livery for Sao Paulo GP

The one-off design, featuring 493 words submitted by supporters around the world, represents a tribute to the spirit that defines competition at the highest level.

Fans were invited to share words they associate with Williams and Gulf earlier this year, before more than 140,000 votes decided the final selection.

The most popular entries included ‘Legacy’ (7,700 votes), ‘Passion’ (5,800 votes) and ‘Teamwork’ (4,100 votes). These words now feature across the iconic Gulf light blue and orange colour scheme.

Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz will debut the ‘Driven by Words’ livery at this weekend’s Formula 1 São Paulo Grand Prix.

The 21st round of the season offers Williams another chance to consolidate fifth in the Constructors’ Championship, marking their strongest campaign since 2016.

‘Driven by Words’ continues the team’s fan-focused collaborations with Gulf, following initiatives such as the ‘Bolder than Bold’ livery vote in 2023, behind-the-scenes content, and Albon’s 2024 demonstration run at the Anhembi Sambadrome in São Paulo.

"This incredible livery campaign with Gulf has really brought that to life, and it will be a privilege to race every lap in Brazil with the passion and emotion of our fans woven into this beautiful design on the car," he concluded.
