Mercedes boss Toto Wolff is rallying his troops to deliver a strong performance at this weekend's 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix, as the team's second place in the Formula 1 Constructors' Championship is now under more threat by both Red Bull Racing and Ferrari.

Wolff was not happy with how Mercedes' United States Grand Prix panned out, which was a stark contrast to their dominant weekend in Singapore, where George Russell took the win from pole.
With Max Verstappen winning, Charles Leclerc finishing third, and Lewis Hamilton following him in fourth, both Red Bull Racing and Ferrari have closed in on Mercedes in the F1 Constructors' Standings.
With Russell finishing sixth in the race and Kimi Antonelli failing to score after being hit by Carlos Sainz, Mercedes now lead Ferrari by only seven points. They are ten points clear of Red Bull Racing.
"Five races to go. Just 10 points separating P2 to P4 in the Constructors' Championship," Wolff said in Mercedes' Mexico City Grand Prix preview. "We had a poor result in Austin, and our rivals gained ground on us.
"We have the chance to bounce back straight away this weekend in Mexico, though. It's going to be a battle all the way to the chequered flag in Abu Dhabi, and that is something we are relishing," he added.
"Mexico City presents a unique challenge," the Austrian said of this weekend in Mexico. "The high altitude taxes the brakes and power unit significantly, whilst the thin air requires a high downforce setup.
"The field is tight, but we are hopeful of a strong showing, stronger than we managed a few days ago in Texas," Wolff concluded.
