Honda has released a recording of their engine running in the dyno on social media, the engine that will be powering the Aston Martin Formula 1 cars in 2026.

Honda will be Aston Martin's works partner in 2026 after powering Red Bull Racing and their sister team Racing Bulls since 2018, when they started powering the Faenza-based team and then joined forces with the Milton Keynes squad in 2019.
Despite having a disastrous return to F1 with McLaren in 2015, they went on to find great success with Red Bull Racing as they powered Max Verstappen to 66 wins and four World Titles.
Honda decided to leave F1 in 2021 but went on supplying power units to Red Bull. They decided to return upon the publishing of the 2026 F1 regulations in which power units will produce energy based on a 50-50 ratio between internal combustion and electric power.
However, Honda decided to come back with Aston Martin as Red Bull started a collaboration with Ford to build their own power units from 2026 onwards.
Days after finishing their final race with Red Bull Racing, the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Honda revealed a sound clip of their 2026 power unit on social media.
