Formula 1 has announced a landmark five-year partnership with Apple, making the tech giant the exclusive U.S. broadcast partner for the sport from 2026.

The deal, reportedly worth $750-million, unites two of the world’s most powerful brands, focused on innovation and entertainment, in what F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali called “an incredibly exciting partnership for both Formula 1 and Apple.”
The agreement follows the record-breaking success of F1: The Movie, Apple’s Formula 1 feature film, which grossed nearly $630-million worldwide after its cinema and IMAX release earlier this year. The Apple Original Film will debut globally on Apple TV on 12 December 2025.
Under the new arrangement, Apple TV will stream every session live — including practice, qualifying, Sprints, and Grands Prix — to subscribers in the U.S. Select races and practice sessions will also be available free-to-air via the Apple TV app. F1 TV Premium, Formula 1’s dedicated content service, will continue to be available through an Apple TV subscription and will be free for those already subscribed.
The partnership will also expand F1’s presence across Apple’s ecosystem, with content integration planned across Apple News, Maps, Music, Sports, and Fitness+.
Formula 1 cited Apple’s unmatched reach and ability to connect with younger audiences as key to the deal. The 2025 Global F1 Fan Survey showed that nearly half of new U.S. fans aged 18–24 have followed the sport for less than five years, with over half being female.

Domenicali said the partnership will “help maximise our growth potential in the U.S. with the right content and innovative distribution channels.”
He added: “We have a shared vision to bring this amazing sport to our fans in the U.S. and entice new fans through live broadcasts, engaging content, and a year-round approach to keep them hooked.”
Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, Eddy Cue, echoed the sentiment: “We’re thrilled to expand our relationship with Formula 1 and offer Apple TV subscribers in the U.S. front row access to one of the most exciting and fastest-growing sports on the planet.
"2026 marks a transformative new era for Formula 1 - from new teams to new regulations and cars with the best drivers in the world - and we look forward to delivering premium and innovative fan-first coverage in a way that only Apple can.”
The partnership marks a major milestone in F1’s expansion in the United States, complementing the sport’s three annual races in Miami, Austin, and Las Vegas. It follows Liberty Media’s ongoing strategy to deepen F1’s engagement with American audiences through accessible digital content and high-profile brand collaborations.
Additional production details and content offerings will be revealed in the coming months ahead of the 2026 broadcast debut.
