As Formula 1 sets up tent in America for the first Miami Grand Prix this weekend, Ferrari boss Mattia Boinotto says all is well for the sport on the other side of the Atlantic.
Riding on a surge of popularity thanks to
Netflix introducing the American market, and a broader audience in general, to F1 the sport is arguably at its most widely followed than ever before thanks to social media and the plethora of new media platforms which have been maximised by new owners Liberty Media.
Now with the sport on Liberty's home soil, Ferrari boss Binotto is optimistic and full of praise: "Generally speaking, I think that the F1 business is going very well. And it's not only Miami.

Binotto: We can see as a team as well, the interest of sponsors has increased
The Ferrari boss continued: "Certainly, during the COVID I think we had at least we have been great, and F1, FIA has been great to organise still calendars with 17 races in 2020. And, last year as well, several races more than 20. So overall, I think it's very positive.
"You can see Netflix, the digital communications, the broadcast, it's all good and positive. And as we're looking at the race track when you're coming to see so many people now being there. And it's fun. And I think the business is going really very well.
"We can see as a team as well, the interest of sponsors has increased, which is great. And Miami as you said, it's a fantastic example. In the Americas, things are going very well. And we can only be happy with that," added Binotto as F1 heads to a very important market for Ferrari.
Speaking to reporters during the Imola weekend, with Binotto and AlphaTauri's Franz Tost, Pirelli motorsport boss Mario Isola explained: "Miami is important for us because the United States is a very good market for Pirelli.
"We're planning to activate these events with the local market, probably more than what we have done in the past. So happy to go to Miami. And that's a good boost for Formula 1 in the United States.

Red Bull will be taking full advantage of F1's presence in Miami, Tost revealing a raft of activities awaiting them: "I'm very much looking forward to Miami. I think it's a fantastic venue over there.
"And I'm looking forward to all the events which we have, because Scuderia AlphaTauri nearly have every day something, also Red Bull is activating a lot of topics over there.
"I think it will become a fantastic race weekend and it's good that the interest in Formula 1 is increasing so much. Also from the sponsor side from the fan side. And that's positive for business," added Tost.
Free practice for the Miami Grand Prix, Round 5 of the 2022 F1 World Championship begins on Friday, with qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday 8 May.
F1 returns to the USA for the United States Grand Prix weekend at Circuit of the Americas on 21-23 October; other races in the Americas include the Canadian Grand Prix (17-19 June), the Mexican Grand Prix (28-30 October and the Brazilian Grand Prix a week later.
Next year Las vegas will also join the calendar making it three races in the USA alone.
