Aston Martin has confirmed it will launch its 2025 Formula 1 challenger, the AMR25, on 23 February across the team’s digital platforms.
The reveal comes just days after the unveiling of the 2025 livery at
F1 75 Live on 18 February at The O2 in London, where CEO and Team Principal Andy Cowell, along with Aston Martin drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, will be present.
The AMR25 will make its first on-track appearance at the Bahrain International Circuit on 24 February in a promotional event ahead of pre-season testing.
Ahead of the launch, in a press release, Aston Martin reflected on its ambitions for the
2025 F1 season: "To chase the extraordinary, you need more than passion. You need to be driven from within."
"An unyielding force that shapes everything it touches, it's in the quiet, determined moments when we feel it most. It asks more of us – it demands more of us. When the world says it can't be done, this force calmly replies, 'Watch me.'"
The team emphasised its meticulous approach to performance: "Minds fuelled by curiosity, hands guided by skill; we craft speed. From the aerodynamic flow of bodywork to the delicate calibration of components, we know that true mastery lives in the details."
Alonso and Stroll to spearhead the team in 2025
For the 2025 season, Aston Martin retains its driver pairing of two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and Canadian Lance Stroll. They are supported by Test and Reserve Drivers Felipe Drugovich and Stoffel Vandoorne, along with Team Ambassador Pedro de la Rosa and Young Development Driver Jak Crawford.
Additionally, Aston Martin Aramco continues its participation in the all-female F1 Academy series, with Swiss driver Tina Hausmann competing under the guidance of the team’s F1 Academy Head of Racing and Driver Ambassador, Jessica Hawkins.
Aston Martin’s motorsport heritage dates back to 1913, with early success at the Aston Hill Climb shaping its reputation for high-performance engineering.
The brand first entered Grand Prix racing in 1922 and later secured outright victory at Le Mans in 1959. Aston Martin returned to Formula 1 in 2021 under Lawrence Stroll’s leadership and has since invested heavily in its infrastructure.
The team opened the AMR Technology Campus in Silverstone in 2023, featuring a state-of-the-art wind tunnel set to become operational in 2025.
