Arvid Lindblad drives VCARB wrapped RB8 at Red Bull Moto Jam in Delhi, India

The 01 March event at the India Expo Centre in Noida marked the second edition of Red Bull Moto Jam, one of India’s biggest motorsport festivals.

It delivered a full spectacle of live demonstrations and extreme sports exhibitions, headlined by Lindblad at the wheel of Sebastian Vettel’s 2012 World Championship winning RB8.

The car ran in VCARB livery and paid tribute to the upcoming Holi festival on 03 March. Continuing a tradition established at Red Bull show runs in India, the RB8 released coloured powder, known locally as gulal, into the air, echoing the spirit of the festival of colours.

Lindblad’s appearance came just one week before his Formula 1 race debut in Melbourne. The 1st year driver, who is the 3rd ever F1 driver with Indian heritage, described the experience as deeply personal.

“It was such a unique opportunity to be part of the Red Bull Moto Jam event and be able to drive a F1 car in India,” he said: “Having the chance to be behind the wheel in this country, whose culture truly shaped me during my childhood, was really special.

“From kicking off the weekend by visiting the historical India Gate in Delhi to seeing all the fans cheering for me during the exhibition, it was such a nice moment. I hope they had a great time. A huge thank you to everyone involved; there could not have been a better way to kick off my F1 season before going to Melbourne next week.”

Ahead of Moto Jam, former Formula 1 driver Karun Chandhok took the VCARB branded RB8 back to the Buddh International Circuit for a showcase run. It marked the first time in 13 years that an F1 car had lapped the venue, which previously hosted 3 Formula 1 Grands Prix between 2011 and 2013.

The return of a Grand Prix car to Buddh carried symbolic weight for Indian fans, many of whom have not seen contemporary F1 machinery on home soil in over a decade.

The Delhi festival also featured a wide array of Red Bull athletes across disciplines. Lebanese drifting champion Abdo Feghali delivered high speed demonstrations, while Aras Gibieza performed a stunt biking showcase.

Global stunt athlete Abdulrahman AlGhamdi was also in attendance, alongside Roman Chirikov leading the motocross action. Sebastian Westberg and Vivian Ganther added freestyle motocross performances to round off the programme.

For Lindblad, the event provided both cultural connection and competitive momentum. With Melbourne next on the calendar, the Racing Bulls driver heads into his debut Formula 1 weekend having already delivered a headline moment on another continent, blending F1 theatre with local celebration in front of an enthusiastic Indian crowd.
