The 2024 Formula 1 season concluded in Abu Dhabi with a series of remarkable milestones etched into the sport’s history. Over 35 records were broken this year, underscoring an era of extraordinary performances by some of the grid's most iconic drivers.

Max Verstappen further cemented his place among Formula 1’s all-time greats by joining an elite group of only six drivers to win four or more World Championships. The Dutchman’s dominance was reflected in the record books: he now holds the top two spots for the most consecutive race wins in a season and surpassed Lewis Hamilton as the driver with the longest streak of consecutive points finishes.
Lewis Hamilton continued to extend his legacy as the sport’s most successful driver. He added to his record tally of career race wins and total points scored, while also setting a new benchmark for the longest gap between his first and most recent victory – an incredible 17 years. Hamilton’s triumph at the 2024 British Grand Prix marked his ninth win at the event, breaking his tie with Michael Schumacher for the most victories at a single Grand Prix.

The veteran Spaniard extended his records for the most career entries, starts, kilometres raced, and laps completed. Meanwhile, Nico Hülkenberg set an unenviable milestone, surpassing Andrea de Cesaris to become the driver with the most Grand Prix starts without a victory.
After 109 starts without a win, Lando Norris broke through with a stunning victory at the Miami Grand Prix, his 110th race. This achievement places him ninth on the list of drivers with the most races before their first victory. Norris’s long-awaited maiden win ignited a stellar run, with three additional victories rounding out a transformative 2024 season for the McLaren star.
As the dust settles on an unforgettable season, these achievements reflect a sport in constant evolution, where records are made to be broken and legends continue to rise.
