It was a life well lived, as his demeanour showed even days before his departure as did the
near $500-million fortune he left his family.
We had to report sadly that former Formula 1 team boss, broadcaster and entrepreneur Eddie Jordan died at the age of 76 following a battle with prostate cancer,
his family confirmed on Thursday, 20 March 2025.
A statement from his family reported that Jordan passed away peacefully at his home in Cape Town, South Africa. They described him as a man who “brought an abundance of charisma, energy and Irish charm everywhere he went.”
The charismatic Irishman ran the Jordan Grand Prix team between 1991 and 2005, launching the careers of several top drivers including Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine. After selling the team, Jordan became a popular television pundit and remained a colourful figure in the sport.
