Netflix revealed that season 7 of their Formula 1 docuseries Drive to Survive will be released on March 7, ahead of the start of the 2025 season.

The latest season of Drive to Survive should make for a great watch given how the 2025 F1 season went down as Max Verstappen fought tooth and nail with Lando Norris to defend his F1 title, ultimately succeeding and bagging a fourth consecutive drivers' crown.
Red Bull failed in their title defense as McLaren took their first F1 constructors' title since 1998 as the Woking squad managed to develop their car into the best on the grid while Red Bull struggled with theirs, not to mention the early season controversy with Christian Horner's sexting scandal.
Red Bull also suffered the loss of Adrian Newey and their long-serving sporting director Jonathan Wheatley in addition to other team personnel; the first is heading to Aston Martin, and the second is joining Audi F1.
It was also Lewis Hamilton's final season with Mercedes, and he struggled as he saw his contract with the team through before heading to Ferrari, so it would be interesting to see how this story is portrayed in the latest Drive to Survive series.
The same applies to Carlos Sainz, whose 2025 F1 season was his last with Ferrari, as he took his time before making his decision to join Williams.
This makes season seven of Drive to Survive a special one to watch, especially since it may be the final one for Netflix, who do not have a contract for an eighth season yet.
Furthermore, reports have emerged claiming that Netflix is in talks with Liberty Media to acquire the tv rights to cover F1 in the US, as ESPN's current contract will reach an end at the end of the 2025 season.
The bidding process for the live broadcasting rights for 2026 onwards is underway, with Netflix reportedly emerging as the new broadcaster of the sport in the US.
