Kyle.Engineers: The Ferrari SF-24

It’s launch season again, and the Formula 1 teams have all revealed their 2024 challengers except for Red Bull, and Kyle.Engineers have just reviewed Ferrari’s SF-24.

The SF-24 will be driven by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, the latter entering his final season with the Scuderia, as he will make way for Lewis Hamilton in 2024.

After finishing the season on a high in 2023 being the only non-Red Bull team to win a race – Sainz in Singapore – Ferrari are looking to launch a consistent charge to try and challenge Red Bull for this season.

The SF-24 is the first Ferrari F1 car to be developed under the watch of Frederic Vasseur, the team boss who took over from Mattia Binotto early in 2023, and is entering his second season in the hot seat at Maranello.

Ferrari finished the 2023 F1 season third in the Constructors’ Championship after being beaten by Mercedes to the runner-up position.

F1’s most successful team has been chasing elusive F1 Title glory since 2008, the year when they won their final Constructors’ Crown. Kimi Raikkonen won the team’s final Drivers’ Title back in 2007.

Kyle is a former Mercedes F1 aerodynamicist and has been delivering great videos following every F1 launch season commenting on the new cars and giving some expert and initial technical insight into the new machines.

Kyle said: “The F1 car launches this year have been showing a bit less variety than previous years, however there’s still plenty to talk about on the SF-24!”
