Frederic Vasseur, Ferrari's team boss, is hoping to deliver a strong performance at this weekend's 2023 Canadian Grand Prix, the second race with the team's upgraded SF-23.

Ferrari brought a raft of upgrades to their SF-23 at the previous Formula 1 round, the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix, and while Carlos Sainz qualified second, Charles Leclerc struggled and was down in 19th in Qualifying.
In the race, Sainz finished fifth, while Leclerc was only good for 11th, meaning the upgrades are either not working, or the team simply didn't manage to get the car setup right, as race pace remained a weakness for the Reds.
Fred Vasseur, however, is adamant the new upgrades have made the car more predictable and consistent while admitting there is more potential for improvement.
Speaking in Ferrari's race preview, Vasseur said: "We come to Canada knowing that there is still room for improvement in terms of race pace with the SF-23.
"However, the upgrades introduced at the last round in Spain meant that the car behaved more consistently in the race in Barcelona.
"Last year in Montreal, both our drivers raced really well," he added, "with Carlos finishing second after putting the winner under pressure all the way to the flag, while Charles fought his way through the field from the back row of the grid to claim a fifth place finish.
"Ferrari has always enjoyed plenty of support in Canada and we hope to deliver a strong performance for our tifosi this weekend," Vasseur concluded.
Ferrari are currently fourth in the 2023 F1 Constructors' Championship with 100 points after seven races, compared to 287 for leaders Red Bull.
