Red Mist: Ferrari big boss John Elkann has spoken!

Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening, John Elkann has spoken!

With fabulous respect to Queen, it took six months for a peep out of him since our beloved team’s great spiral. Ferrari chairman Elkann has however finally broken his silence on our Scuderia’s dismal tragedy of errors mismanagement, mistakes, and problems.

Elkann’s comments may show faith in our Scuderia, but they significantly also appear to carry some gravity, should the situation fail to improve.

“We have great faith in Mattia Binotto and we fully appreciate everything he and all our engineers have done,” John Elkann told Gazzetta dello Sport on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix. “But there’s no doubt that the work at Maranello, in the box on the wall, and behind the wheel must improve.

Elkann: Ferrari must continue to progress

“We must continue to progress and that applies to the mechanics, the engineers, the drivers and obviously, the entire management team. Including the team boss. We have seen far too many mistakes, from reliability issues, to driving errors and strategic blunders.”

“We have trusted in Binotto and his team. That was the right decision. It has paid off and we can thank them that Ferrari is competitive and winning again. But I’m not satisfied. “I think we can always improve.

“Our first goal was to be competitive. If you are not competitive, we could move forward. Now we are winning again, but we lack reliability. That is something we can always work on,” said the Agnelli scion.

“Ferrari will win the Constructors’ and Drivers’ titles before 2026”

“That is why I believe that Ferrari will once again win the Constructors’ and Drivers’ titles before 2026, with Charles Leclerc in pole position. We are lucky to have two great drivers, probably the strongest pairing in Formula 1.”

As Tifosi, we waited too long for the sound of a voice from the top. Now John Elkann has spoken. Sure, he believes in the team, and continues to support Binotto. For now. Yet Binotto, Rueda, the left wheel man, all of them have just fuelled the fiasco, some more than others.

So, will you allow more pathetic excuses, Mr. Elkann? More ignorance? On behalf of every Ferrari fan out there, we implore you Elkann… if the team blunders again, we need you to put your money where your mouth is. Do what Enzo would do.

Red Mist: No more excuses. It is time for action

It is good that finally, you have spoken. Next time however sir, there has to be action. Without that, we will just remain lost. Now it’s on you. Bring us those titles. Forza Ferrari!
