Le Mans 2020: Thursday programme

The 88th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours takes place this weekend at Circuit de la Sarthe, with Thursday morning free practice starting at 10 am and running until 5 pm, before 45-minutes of qualifying thereafter in what promises to be a very interesting day of track action in France.

Thursday 17 September    

  • 10:00-13:00 – Free Practice 1
  • 14:00-17:00 – Free Practice 2
  • 17:15-18:00 – Qualifying
  • 20:00-00:00 – Free Practice 3

Friday 18 September   

  • 10:00-11:00 – Free Practice 4
  • 11:30-12:00 – Hyperpole

Saturday, 19 September

  • 10:30-10:45 – Warm-up
  • 14:30 – Race start

Sunday, 20 September

  • 14:30 – Race finish
  • 14:45 – Podium Ceremony

Free Practice runs for 12 hours during the course of the day with only breaks for lunch and qualifying. It will be busy as drivers familiarise themselves with the track, with a number of drivers competing at the legendary event for the first time set the stage for what will be an action-packed and intriguing day.

The 45-minutes qualifying will be the highlight of the day as each team battle for a strong grid spot and for the top six runners in each class the new Hyperpole beckons on Saturday.
