The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will have only one 90 minute practice session as part of its revamped weekend schedule, Formula 1 confirmed on Tuesday.
Set to employ a two-day format, F1 will forego its usual two 90-minute practice sessions on a Friday in an attempt to ease the workload of team personnel.
Taking place the week after the Portuguese GP at Portimao, the race will be the 13th such event in 18 weeks.
As a result, cars will take to the track for the first time at 10am on Saturday for a single practice, followed by qualifying at 2pm.
Sunday’s race will proceed as usual, starting at 1:10pm.
