Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has revealed how he is never content with the way he looks and prefers to workout without a trainer as he improves himself amid his jet-set lifestyle.
Ahead of the Russian Grand Prix weekend, writing on his Instagram account after sharing a topless photo of himself, Hamilton said, “Staying in shape is something so many of us struggle with. My weight fluctuates every week with all this travelling. One week I bulk up and then other weeks I lose muscles and put on fat.”
“I can honestly say I’ve never been 100 percent happy with my look, that’s why I just keep working at it. I have days I can’t be assed but then the days I can are so rewarding.
“Just want to let you know that whilst you are perfect just the way you are if you want change only you can do it. Hiring a trainer to walk you through it can help but ultimately it’s how much you want it.
“That’s why I don’t actually have a trainer. That’s my stubborn side. So here’s me, imperfections and all flaws but I chose to keep fighting and working on being a better me,” added the Mercedes driver.
Ahead of the race in Sochi, Hamilton is looking to break a Ferrari three-race winning streak, as he looks to wrap up this year’s world title, his sixth since he joined the grid in 2007, “We did such a great job at the beginning of the year.
“But I am under no illusion that my gap in the championship could disappear. It is not won yet. We need to pull our socks up and get on with it. We can squeeze more out of this car and individually we can do better. We don’t feel great right now but that is a good thing.
“If anyone in the team feels relaxed they need talking to because we should all be feeling the pain. We will go to the next race and try to rev ourselves up and do a better job. These next few races are going to be tough,” added Hamilton
