Press Release:

Alfa Romeo Racing is pleased to announce that Save the Children has become the Official Charity Partner of the team.

For a century, Save the Children has advocated children’s rights around the globe. The children’s rights organisation is working in Switzerland and worldwide to ensure that children survive, learn and are protected.

The collaboration between Save the Children and Alfa Romeo Racing is a wonderful opportunity for the team to give back to the next generations. The logo will be featured on the front wing main plate of both cars from the 2019 FIA Formula One season.

Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal Alfa Romeo Racing and CEO Sauber Motorsport AG: “It is a great pleasure for us to initiate a partnership with a charity which supports a cause so important, one that works towards ensuring that children have the opportunity to grow up in a safe and positive environment, and one day achieve their personal dreams and goals. We look forward to collaborating with Save the Children as our Official Charity Partner from 2019 and sharing their great mission with our fans and the entire motorsport community.”

Ömer Güven, CEO Save the Children Switzerland: “During Save the Children’s centenary year, we celebrate the heroes and heroines who made our work possible over the past 100 years – and will continue to shape it in the future. Therefore, we are particularly looking forward to the exciting collaboration with Alfa Romeo Racing. Through many joint activities, the racing team members – who are already idols for their fans today – will also become heroines and heroes for children in emergency situations in Switzerland and around the world.”

About Save the Children:

Save the Children is the largest independent children’s rights organisation in the world. In Switzerland and around the world, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We ensure children’s unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.
