Mick Schumacher has a door open at Ferrari whenever he should come calling says team chief Maurizio Arrivabene as the son of F1 legend Michael Schumacher, starts raising eyebrows in the paddock with his strong performances of late.
Already the 19-year-old German youngster is being branded as Schumi-III, his father obviously Schumi-I and six-time grand prix winner uncle Ralf Schumacher is Schumi-II.
Ferrari and Schumacher have immense history, the German leading the team to unprecedented success and easily the Scuderia's most successful driver.
Asked about Ferrari interest in Schumacher junior, Arrivabene told reporters, "Concerning Mick Schumacher, the most important thing is to let him grow without giving pressure. The recent results were very very good and I wish to him a great career."
"With a name like this, that wrote the historical pages of the Ferrari history, I think the door at Maranello is always open of course, but without burning the step, that is, a Schumacher family decision but let the guys have fun."
"I always repeat this, being focused, concentrated but at the same time have fun and to grow up slowly but certainly. Then we will see about the future. How can you say no, in Maranello, to a name like this?" added the Ferrari chief.
