McLaren confirm Capito’s departure

A mere four months after joining McLaren, executive manager Jost Capito has departed the team.

Capito was brought in under the reign of recently deposed McLaren supremo Ron Dennis and apparently he did not share the vision of the new management team that is in the process of being entrenched at Woking.

A McLaren spokesman confirmed, “Regrettably, we have not been able to find common ground with Jost with regard to what is and will be needed to make the team successful again.”

“As a result, we have agreed that he will leave McLaren Racing and will now consider other opportunities. We wish him success in his future endeavours,” concluded
