Feb.16 (PVM) It has emerged that HRT will skip the forthcoming Formula 1 test at Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona as their new car is not ready due to having twice failed mandatory FIA crash tests.
The Spanish outfit were present at the first test at Jerez last week, on the first two days, for what the team described as a “get to know one another exercise” as most of the team is now made of new personnel.
The team will not attend the test at all this time, as they focus their efforts on getting the 2012 car up to the standards required and hope to make it in time for the final Barcelona test, in early March.
The second official F1 pre-season test begins at the Spanish GP venue on 21-24 February.
