Feb.8 (Grand Prix 247) Finally the 2012 Formula 1 season has got underway, well for the die-hards at least, and – as if he did not grab enough headlines of late – Kimi Raikkonen gave an indication that it might not take him terribly long to get re-acquainted with F1 by posting the fastest lap of the first day at Jerez de la Frontera.
Good news all around because The Iceman has a legion of fans and irrespective of what the ‘experts’ say there is some thing to say about the achievement – even if it be a mere psychological boost. As someone in the office said: rather top of the timing sheets than down there with the HRT…
Also in this issue we have all the new car launches with related sound bites and imagery to go with these. Also some interesting interviews and quotes that may just come back and haunt those who uttered the words – time will tell.
