Jan.21 (PVM) Lotus will be following a growing trend by unveiling their 2012 Formula 1 car online.
The team announced that their new car will break cover live on their new website – www.lotusf1team.com – at 16h00 GMT on Sunday, 5 February.
Kimi Raikkonen will be first in the cockpit of the team’s new car for the first two days at Jerez a couple of days later, with Romain Grosjean doing duty on the final two days in the first test session of the year.
However the 2007 world champion will get a taste of what he can expect on his comeback when he gets behind the wheel of a 2010 spec Renault, with Pirelli rubber, for a couple of days in Valencia next week.
The team’s new look website will go live on the same day.
Red Bull announced earlier that they would be doing an online unveil, on their website, of the much anticipated RB8 on Monday, 6 February at 13h00 GMT.
