Mercedes working with former All Blacks psychologist 6 May, 2014 Mercedes has turned to a psychologist to help the team cope with its dominant 2014 Formula 1 championship campaign. That is the claim of the Telegraph newspaper, revealing that former professional soccer player Dr Ceri Evans – of Gazing Perfromance Systems – also worked with New Zealand’s All Blacks during the rugby team’s 2011 world cup triumph. Correspondent Daniel Johnson said that Evans, 50, attended the recent Chinese Grand Prix with the Brackley based team, observing engineers and mechanics at work. He has reportedly been retained as a consultant. “Evans has not had any direct involvement with either Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg”, Johnson clarified. (GMM) Subbed by AJN.
