Michael Schumacher’s spokeswoman Sabine Kehm insists that the Formula 1 legend’s family have not given up hope that he will eventually wake from his 11-week coma.

“Michael is still in the recovery phase,” Kehm told the German broadcaster RTL.

“That is, he has not woken up yet. We are still waiting for it of course, but we have learned to accept that it may take a long time,” she explained. (GMM)

From your name I take it English is not your native language.
In English “learning to accept” means resigning oneself to a certain (undesired) outcome.

Methinks this is all on you.
