Bribery trial judge accommodates Ecclestone’s F1 schedule 5 March, 2014 Bernie Ecclestone Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that the schedule for his looming bribery trial in Munich has been set down with a view to accommodating his Formula 1 work schedule. Ecclestone told The Independent, “Of course I can run the company at the same time as doing the trial in Germany.” “I am in court for two days a week on Tuesday and Wednesday. The judge did it so I am able to go to races at the weekend. I will probably go on Monday nights, because I have to be there at 9.30am, stay Tuesday night and come back Wednesday. He said we will get the hearings on Wednesday out of the way before 5pm so I can leave,” explained the billionaire. Starting in April, Ecclestone will be tried in Munich’s state court for bribery charges that carry a maximum 10-year prison sentence. (GP247) Subbed by AJN.
