Felipe Massa ended the final day of testing at Jerez fastest of all, and afterwards said that he would be worried if he were a Red Bull driver, but he admitted that it’s refreshing that the World Champions are not two seconds faster than everyone else.
When asked by TotalRace about Red Bull’s problems, Massa said, “I’d be worried, but at least they have some problems this year and are not two seconds faster than the others, as they were in some places in last year.”
“They’re having some problems and when we do not see Red Bull in front all the time it ends up being positive for others,” he added.
Massa, who moved from Ferrari to Williams for this season, completed 133 laps in the all navy blue FW36 of which 86 laps were completed on day four in Spain.
As for topping the timing sheets, Massa responded, “It’s always good to be first, but it is still only the beginning. There were teams who did more laps than us…” (GP247)
