Sutil confirmed by Sauber as one of their drivers for 2014 season 13 December, 2013 Adrian Sutil The Sauber F1 Team is pleased to announce Adrian Sutil as one of its drivers for 2014. The German will embark on his seventh season in Formula 1, with the Swiss outfit. Monisha Kaltenborn, Team Principal: “We are pleased, that we were able to sign Adrian, particularly as we have been wanting to work together with him for a while. Adrian had already visited the factory at the end of September to have a look at the infrastructure. Adrian is not only very fast, but also brings a lot of experience, which is very important looking at the new regulations for next year. We welcome Adrian to the Sauber F1 Team and look forward to a successful collaboration.” Adrian Sutil: “I am very happy that we found common ground. Although I have known for a while where I wanted to go, in the end the negotiations took a bit longer than planned. However, now I will have all the more reason to celebrate during the Christmas season. I’ve been in contact with Monisha for a while and she always gave me the feeling my qualities are valued. After six good years driving for Force India, with a lot of highlights, it’s now time to embark on a new challenge. I am determined to do my part in order to have a successful future together with the Sauber F1 Team. [Their] long and successful tradition in motorsport, combined with an impressive factory and one of the best wind tunnels in F1, have been fascinating me for a long time. Thank you to Peter Sauber and Monisha Kaltenborn for your trust in me.” The second driver for the 2014 season will be announced at a later date. (Sauber) Subbed by AJN. Seriously, Di Resta is way better than ‘Broken-Bottle Boy’ MAD EEVE LOL Di resta is better hmm maybe yes, Maybe no. Speculate all you want. Beginning of the season Maldonado wins and shocks the hell out of everyone. rvsp Hulk SF1 to SFI Sutil SFI to SF1 nice swap… sutil has managed only half of what PDR have made in a similar or almost identical car… Again SF1 going to lose to SFI… Shin Results don’t always reflect an accurate picture. Look at underlying circumstances. Since 2007 Sutil has always shown to be very quick, even after a year away he was back on the pace straight away, impressing the entire paddock as you may remember. Di Resta seems highly rated by English fans, but less so outside the UK. Sutil should do fine at Sauber in terms of performance, and also on a personal level within the team. Sutil also has some decent backing from long-term sponsor Medion, which you would expect to see on the Sauber next year. Teammate may well become van der Garde (option one) or Guttierez (option two) Hausi Peter, bring back Nick Heidfeld in the other car!! Mercedes supporter forever @Cyberspore FYI, Sutil is way better than Di Resta, fool.. Snowman @Hausi Yes! A thousand times yes! Boycottthebull What total nonsense coming out of Monishas mouth yet again. Her story varies depending on whatever financial wind is blowing her way. Wanting to work with Sutil for a while? Bollocks! It was going to be some rich Russian kid not long ago then that money fell through then she was waiting if they could convince Hulenberg to race for her again even though Ferrari paid his wages this year to prevent him racing with Lotus. The fans give Lotus’ team principle hell when he doesnt even control the cash flow from Genii yet Monishas mismanagement goes unmentioned. Everything that comes out of her mouth is lies and Propaganda so when one lot of financial backing fails he doesnt scare off he next lot of fake investors. I cant understand how this woman even got to be a team Principle in F1. StevetheGreat Di Resta > Sutil All you need to do is look at the 2013 Driver Standing. /discussion O’Ferrari Poor Di Resta. He had years to shine, but his only claim to fame is beating vettel when they were team mates in a junior category. Di Resta will be missed by few. Whinging, arrogant, tosspot. Rossi Yes!
