Horner believes that every F1 driver wants to race for Red Bull 5 November, 2013 Christian Horner Red Bull F1 team boss Christian Horner said on Sunday that his Constructors’ Champion outfit is the envy of every F1 driver and that four-time individual champion Sebastian Vettel is unlikely to move elsewhere. “Every driver in the pit lane would like to be in one of our cars at the moment,” Horner said, “Sebastian enjoys driving for the team, has grown up with the team. Why would he like to be anywhere else?” Vettel won the Indian Grand Prix to seal a fourth straight Championship double of Drivers’ and Constructors’ titles then. He followed that up a week later with a dominant victory in Abu Dhabi. The 26-year-old German, who is contracted to Red Bull through the 2015 season, began his relationship with the team when he was 14, and Horner said that he is “now one of the all-time greats,” joining Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher and Alain Prost as a four-time Champion. “For Sebastian to have joined the illustrious names of Fangio, Prost and Schumacher is an incredible achievement, especially at such a young age, and it’s a privilege to work with him,” declared Horner. “You can have the best driver or the best designer in the world, but if you don’t work as a team it will never work,” he said. “But then without Sebastian, of course we’d not have won four consecutive titles.” (Reuters) Subbed by AJN. Adrian better. Seb joins a great league of champions. But CH says that all drivers want to drive for RBR. SURE THEY DO DODO !!!! captain tortuga It is kinda very irritating that half of the time the reactions are not posted?!? Rey Rodrigo Sanchez Not All….. Pradeep Guess he should have said ” Every driver wants to drive a car designed by Newey ” . Angela @Pradeep I disagree! Newey is a one of the best, if not the best, engineers of all time, but to put it simply, he’s not enough to guarantee the success of an entire team! The Red Bull mechanics and engineers just “clicked”!! They all work impeccably well as a team when it comes to the race and when it comes to getting a very good car. As a matter of fact, I don’t think they all get the recognition they deserve. I suppose many team member have a good reputation in the engineering world, but I have never seen Marko, Horner, Newey or Vettel and Webber say anything publicly for them. You know, to acknowledge their great contribution to the team!! That’t the only thing I don’t like about Newey. He takes all the credit himself! Boycotthehaters “Every driver wants to drive a car designed by Newey” Not Alonso. He turned down the chance to drive for Red Bull in 2008. This “Newey is the greatest genius of all time stuff” only came about because Vettel started winning things. Prior to that nobody wanted to drive cars designed by Newey. Boycotthehaters “It is kinda very irritating that half of the time the reactions are not posted” It’s because your typical comment is laden with obscenities. (And also stupid, but they don’t block comments just for being stupid or Butterfly would never get a word in) Alonso_is_slow Alonso prefers money. haha Yes every driver would like to drive for you, because of the car and the designer behind it (not saying that Vettel isn’t one of the greatest). But every driver would like to drive for Ferrari, because of it being Ferrari, that’s called history and charisma. I also count Mclaren and Williams in that category but as a Tifosi Ferrari is on top for me. Forza Ferrari Keep living in that fantasy world of your’s Horner! What an incredibly dumb and arrogant thing to say. If RB didn’t have Newey then nobody would even look at that piece of s*** energy drink team!
