Video: Kobayashi crashes on Moscow street during Ferrari F1 demo 23 July, 2013 Former grand prix driver Kamui Kobayashi was left red faced after he crashed an F1 Ferrari during a street demo this past weekend. Whilst demonstrating the Maranello team’s 2009 F1 car on the streets of Moscow, Kobayashi – hugely popular with fans all over the world, and now a Ferrari sports car driver – lost control and crashed. “The track was very slippery,” he said, “and there was a marked bump at that point, which is why I hit the barrier. “A shame, but I am pleased the team let me out again after a few minutes.” Meanwhile Ferrari reported: ” The F1 Clienti department mechanics were not exactly overjoyed, as they will have their work cut out getting the car repaired before its next outing. But one man profited from the event.” “Kamui thought it would be a nice gesture to present the damaged nose to Eugene Kaspersky, when he visited the Kaspersky Lab Moscow head office, only opened a few months ago. Kaspersky told Kamu: “It’s a very nice gift. It’s an artifact manufactured in Italy and ‘sketched’ by a Japanese and now [its at its] best hanging here in Moscow!” (GMM-Apex) Subbed by AJN.
