Ecclestone to pen $200-million sponsorship with Emirates airline 5 February, 2013 Bernie Ecclestone Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone is set to sign up the Emirates airline as a major sponsor, on a visit to Dubai on Tuesday. The Financial Times said that the five year deal is worth “about $200m”, making it “one of the biggest” in motor sport. The report said that Emirates would join F1’s clutch of official sponsors, including UBS, Rolex, Tata and LG. Emirates, who sponsored McLaren in 2006, would not comment.
