Marussia confirms MR02 will be launched at Jerez 31 January, 2013 Marussia have confirmed that their 2013 F1 World Championship challenger, designated MR02, will break cover on the morning of the first test at Jerez, next week. The team, which is the last to confirm a launch date for its new car, announced in a press release: “The Marussia F1 Team MR02 will be unveiled at the opening pre-season test at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain. The new car will be revealed to accredited media in the pit lane at 08:15 CET on Tuesday 5 February. The press release added: “Max Chilton will drive the MR02 for the first time on 5 February. The rest of the testing schedule will also be communicated then.” It is not known whether the team’s second driver will be confirmed in time for the launch and first test. (GP247) Subbed by AJN.
