Di Resta: I am surprised there has been nothing yet 13 January, 2013 Paul di Resta Paul di Resta has admitted to being surprised that Force India is taking so long to decide his 2013 teammate – in fact the Silverstone based squad has yet to officially confirm that the Scot will be part of their plans this forthcoming season. Already openly disappointed to have missed out on a move to a bigger team, 26-year-old Scot di Resta is yet to learn who will be replacing his 2012 teammate Nico Hulkenberg, who has switched to Sauber. Asked if he is surprised about the delay, he told the Press Association: “I am surprised [that] there has been nothing yet. “The team have said [that] they will announce it in good time as to where they are going to be, and I have to respect that.” Asked if the situation affects his preparations for the new season, di Resta insisted: “Ultimately, it does. But at the end of the day, I know my job, and I am fully focused on what I need to achieve at the moment. “I know who my team are, who my mechanics are. I’m feeling quite good about it, very positive. I’ve been at the factory and the vibe is very high.” Di Resta, who admits he was disappointed with his second half of last season, scored 17 fewer points than German Hulkenberg in 2012. “I’ve been through times like that where you just need to dig deep, and eventually you get out of it. Hopefully this year will be the year,” he said. (GMM) Subbed by AJN. So why are you even wondering about your teammate rather than yourself? Especially after a couple of really disappointing results by you this season??? overrated Was also overrated against Sutil in 2011, when Sutil struggled to get to grips with Pirelli tyres. As soon as he did he gave Paul a wipping. The same with Hulk. A year out of racing it took Hulk a few races to pick up his speed and then no surprise another wipping for Paul. So overrated by many and now he overrates himself. Watch out Paul, ask Heikke what happened when fishing too much for attention from the bigger teams. Hawk Agreed. I saw how this guy was overrated against Hulk as early as May and mentioned it here. I knew Hulk would get back at him.
