Sacked Formula 1 doctor admits he is furious with FIA 18 December, 2012 Dec.18 (GMM) Recently axed Gary Harstein has admitted his fury at Formula 1’s governing body. Last month, the 57-year-old American revealed on Twitter that the Jean Todt-led FIA had decided not to renew his contract as F1’s chief doctor beyond 2012. He said at the time: “Not sure about the ‘why’s’ of the decision, but not down to me to know.” But Harstein’s tone changed radically this week, when he admitted to his almost 8 000 Twitter followers that he is “righteously pissed off” to have lost his job. “I might launch a crusade to get some answers, or get my f***ing job back, or let the world know what’s really going on on the medical side of the FIA. “Understand this: I am not bitter or sad,” Harstein insisted. “I am seriously angry. And that’s bad. “Not sure how or when, but there’s dark clouds a-gatherin’. This is gonna be a f***ing blast!” Subbed by AJN. Tweet Fisico So if you get your job back, then everything in the medical side of the FIA is great and honorable but if you don’t get it back then everything is dark and horrible. Why do you want your job back if everything inside is so dirty as you are threatening to tell the world? So you are looking for money to shut up? You had a contract, FIA honored it, it came to an end, FIA don’t want to renew it again and you start whining? Time is over Doc !!!! Move over and return some loyalty to the FIA that filled your pockets for the last years!!!! fools Interesting… He makes it seem like there something fishy going on and im very curious to know as well. Good read. sdfsd I read a statement from the GPDA (drivers association) where they ask the FIA for a declaration of the why’s. Also interesting is that Mark Webber once said in an interview he would opt for drug testing in F1, he must have some suspicions at least to say something like that.
