Bianchi favourite to secure Force India seat 13 December, 2012 Dec.13 (GMM) Jules Bianchi has emerged in the best position to join Paul di Resta in the Force India team next year. Earlier, it was expected the Silverstone based team’s former race driver Adrian Sutil was the favourite to replace the Sauber-bound Nico Hulkenberg in 2013. But Finland’s Turun Sanomat newspaper said that the new favourite is 2012 Force India reserve Bianchi, a 23-year-old rookie who is backed by Ferrari and managed by Felipe Massa’s manager, Nicolas Todt, the son of FIA president Jean. “The announcement is expected before Christmas,” said correspondent Heikki Kulta. Kulta added that Force India’s likely switch from Mercedes to Ferrari engine power for the 2014 V6 regulations was “a decisive factor” in Bianchi’s favour. Subbed by AJN. Sutil’s time has come and gone. Di Resta plowed him into the ground. B27 Di resta plowed Sutil into the ground? When? What were you watching in 2011? It obviously wasnt Formula 1. Seriously, check the results. Sutil outqualified and outraced Diresta more often, and scored more points. Facts before Fanboyism. shivam Di resta wil get more slugish and slower if bianchi comes! Sutil wil push di resta to limit! But frankly di resta seems a one time wonder! Both year he was beaten comprehensively by nico and sutil! johannes D. As a Sutil fan I hope Kimi4WDC words will become reality. It would not even be that strange a decision; Di Resta does not improve, he was linked to Mercedes but both Mercedes-powered teams chose another driver, next year FI reportedly will use Ferrari-engines… In other words Di Resta becomes obsolete and FI is better off with Sutil imo. Bianchi alongside him, as the new groomed talent (following the same path as Di Resta and Hulkenberg before him). kaka007 If di resta’s 2nd half performance is anything to go by, then I would rather put sutil+bianchi in the team But if it’s the older di resta then i would have him+sutil G “…engine power for the 2014 V6.” What bothers me the most is the looming switch to leaf blower (6cyl) engines. Oh well, another sport to give up then. I enjoyed the last 15 years though. I only hope the last year I watch F1 is as good as this year because in 2014 it is going to suck balls. Why don’t they just race riding mowers? It would probably be just as exciting as 6 cylinder turbos. pffffffffftt.
