Brazil could be last lap for ailing HRT team 23 November, 2012 Nov.23 (GMM) According to strong paddock speculation, Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo will be the last lap for ailing backmarkers HRT. Publicly looking for a buyer, it is reported that staff have actually already been served with pending redundancy notices that will come into effect after the chequered flag waves on Sunday. “None of us know what will happen,” team driver Pedro de la Rosa, who was expected to stay at the Spanish team in 2013, admitted to reporters in Brazil. When asked about the redundancy notices, he answered: “All I know is that we are here and that everyone here has not received anything. “What happens after [the season ends] is unknown,” added de la Rosa. “I hope the team continues but at this moment in time I cannot say any more.” Subbed by AJN. Then, spend a pile of cash building a new facility, and retain a driver (NK) with no inspiration or real skill to insure the results each weekend are never a surprise, or even interesting in the least – except for the intrigue over why they continue to be allowed to start when they are always 7-10s off pace. Now, show up to races unprepared, including the opener with an incomplete car, and skip the mid season test opportunity to play house with the new facility… now they are surprised they are out of business? Sorry, but this is the most pathetic F1 team on the grid. Not because they are slowest, but because they are so phenomenally clueless. Veterans Caskets nice one dude !!
