Marko questions use of Massa in Ferrari tactics 16 October, 2012 Oct.16 (GMM) Red Bull motorsport consultant Helmut Marko has admitted that he cannot understand Ferrari‘s tactics during the Korean Grand Prix. Fernando Alonso finished behind both Red Bulls at the Yeongam track, therefore losing his long-held championship lead to Sebastian Vettel. Just behind the Spaniard was his resurgent Ferrari teammate Felipe Massa, who was told on the radio to stay behind Alonso despite lapping faster. Red Bull’s Marko said Ferrari’s decision to hold Massa back is “incomprehensible”. “Why didn’t Ferrari let him past Alonso and make Webber nervous?” the Austrian told Swiss newspaper Blick, referring to Vettel’s teammate Mark Webber, who finished second. Indeed, if Massa had managed to pass Webber, Alonso might have followed him through and minimised the points loss to Vettel. Marko told Blick: “And even if Massa had not managed to get Webber, it would have been easy for him to just [give] the place back [to Alonso].” Subbed by AJN. Mohammed Emaaduddin Same here.. I am a Fernando Alonso fan.. But I agree with Marko on this.. muddles Hey I actually agree with the old bar steward on this one. He must be off his medication. Forza Ferrari And even if Felipe would’ve managed to overtake Webber then how would’ve that helped Fernando? It would’ve only worked if Fernando would’ve also overtaken Webber and then Felipe would’ve let Fernando pass him to second place. But what if Fernando would’ve been stuck behind Webber and Felipe would’ve been in second place? Then Felipe would’ve taken away even more points from Fernando. Felipe would’ve finished second and Fernando on fourth place. That doesn’t make any sense! Of course Marko would’ve liked if Fernando would’ve finished fourth, that’s the only reason he’s talking such bulls**t! Lol. @Forza Massa would simply allow both webber and alonso back through, think a little. Forza Ferrari @Lol. hahahaaa and what would be the point of that?! Can you imagine how freakin’ ridiculous it would’ve looked if Massa would’ve slowed down on the last lap to let Webber and Fernando through? The Ferrari haters would’ve just gotten a good laugh and that’s all. You think a little, moron! fools Marko is just playing mind games and is ignorant for saying so. It obvious Alonso needed more points. Massa may or may not had passed Mark Webber. In F1 it is one thing to catch up to the car and its another thing to pass the car you are catching up too. Alonso had no grip left in his tires to catch up to Mark and which he didn’t pass. Massa “may” had a chance. However Alonso needs the points more so why is Marko have any say. Why doesn’t he just worry about there WDC. He acts like they won already. Cocky bastard. Something Alonso and Ferrari wouldnt do. fools Marko is just playing mind games and is ignorant for saying so. McLarenfan If Felipe Massa had shot off in to the distance and caught Mark Webber that would have looked bad for Alonso even more so if then Felipe Massa had to drop back 2 places to let Alonso past. A 2 place drop would be a big ask, Felipe m ay just have said I am faster than Alonso. Brave Heart LOL @ Mad marco…. Somebody show him the 2011 british grandrix where webber was told “maintain the gap” to vettel =D Seriously, He is by far, winning the world most retard personality in F1 paddock AlonsoFan yeah agreed totally to Brave Heart 2011 silverstone Vettel saying to the team “BE WISE!!!” and the call comes to Mark “Maitain the gap” what a total arse Marko is.now Mercedes and Redbull both have big loud mouths who have an opinion on everyone and just keep telling lies. edd marko should pause periodically to remove his foot from his mouth. psych4191 I’m not even going to mention the fact that Red Bull has an entire team devoted to the things Helmut bitches about.. Oh wait, I just did.
