Santander and Ferrari extend sponsorship deal until 2017

Luca di Montezemolo and Emilio Botin revealed a new rear wing livery which Scuderia FerrariSep.8 (Ferrari) During a special ceremony, at Monza, to announce the extension of the sponsorship agreement between Ferrari and Santander, which now runs at least until the end of the 2017 season, the respective presidents, Luca di Montezemolo and Emilio Botin revealed a new rear wing livery which Scuderia Ferrari will use at the forthcoming Singapore Grand Prix.

Over the weekend of 21 to 23 September, the back of the wings will carry the motto “World’s Best Bank” in recognition of Santander being honoured with this title by the important financial magazine, Euromoney.

“The history of the partnership between Scuderia Ferrari and Santander actually dates back to here in Monza, three years ago and it is important to be back in the same place to celebrate the extension to our agreement, which will now run at least until 2017,” commented Domenicali.

“These two global companies have many points in common, starting with their colour, red, a desire for excellence, a passion for competition, team work and the will to win. Once again, Santander has been judged to be the best bank in the world and we wanted to celebrate this recognition in a special way, by producing a one-off livery for the rear wing in Singapore, hoping it will be a good omen for us, as we strive to reach our targets for this season,” added the Ferrari boss.

Botin said, “This alliance is made up of the best team in the world and the best bank in the world. Both companies originate from small towns and have been able to transform themselves into two major organizations and leaders in their field at an international level. They are symbols of excellence and standard bearers for two great countries that are always major players in the world and in Europe and that will continue to be a benchmark, thanks to their spirit of enterprise, their desire to compete and their will to win.”
